Welcome to My Blog, 'Aely Writes...!'

As a writer, of course, you already know that I write, but welcome to my more personal ramblings!

I go by the name "Aelyrya Payne". Aelyrya can mean either "Brow of the Ice" or "Fort over the Ford", and is a moniker of my own creation! I'm an artist, writer and general content creator from the UK, with a deep interest in Fairy Folklore, Paganism, Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Horror.

I am probably most well known for my "High-Low" series of portraits, which I am in the process of reworking to a higher standard. These digital paintings were the very first pieces of art I decided to show with any sort of confidence on Twitter, and I have progressed from there!

As well as my High-Lows, I also tend to make a lot of art for my tabletop games, including portraits, maps, landscapes and graphics.

The World of A'arde

My biggest project, and the one closest to my heart, is "The World of A'arde", which is the setting in which most of the games I run are based in. It is also the setting of the novel I am writing, and will hopefully be the beginning of a new chapter of creative content for me. This world and cosmology is my baby; something I am extremely proud of, and I cannot wait to show it off to the world at large!
